Summary |
We were all shocked and saddened by the news of the Easter Sunday terrorist attacks in Sri Lanka, as well as other recent attacks on religious institutions. On April 22, an interfaith prayer vigil was held at the ADAMS Center, next door to BCRC, which was co-sponsored by BCRC, ADAMS, Christian Fellowship Church (CFC) and many other local institutions. Over a dozen faith communities were represented as well as the local Sri Lankan community. Rabbi Amy, Rizwan Jaka of ADAMS, Rabbi Greenspoon of Sha'are Shalom, Pastor Mike Trivett of CFC, Loudoun Board of Supervisors Chair Phyllis Randall and many others delivered moving and inspiring remarks. See the news story reported by WTOP News for details and a photo album. Also see ABC News . By coming together as a community, we hope to do our part to end this cycle of hatred, and that next time we can all come together under happier circumstances.

UAA Questionnaire to Candidates
United Against Antisemitism (UAA), a grass roots organization based in the Washington D.C. area, created a questionnaire on how candidates seeking to run in our Congressional District, and for the US Senate seat for Virginia would respond to the rise of antisemitism we are witnessing.
This is a non-partisan effort, and the questionnaire was sent to all candidates (Democrats and Republicans) running in the primaries for the 10th Congressional District, the seat currently held by Jennifer Wexton who is not running for re-election. Please click here to read full information and to see the responses.
