I think it can be said that everyone had a happy Chanukah at BCRC! Our Chanukah themed Tot Shabbat featured the wonderful Chanukah song stylings of our very own Phil Kane. Afterwards everyone enjoyed latkes and jelly donuts at our new member oneg/preneg, followed by a group menorah lighting.
On Sunday we had our annual Chanukah party. Here's some input from Rabbi Amy: "I think the party was a hit! The crafts were great! The chocolate fountain is the height of luxury. One kid noticed that this year there were more crafts and prior years there were more games (maybe he was confusing it with Purim). In any case, I asked him if one was better than the other and he said, "I don't know. They're both really fun!" Music was great! Phil, you add a lot to the entire ambience!" Thanks to Consuelo Scott and all of our adult and madrichim volunteers for a great event!

UAA Questionnaire to Candidates
United Against Antisemitism (UAA), a grass roots organization based in the Washington D.C. area, created a questionnaire on how candidates seeking to run in our Congressional District, and for the US Senate seat for Virginia would respond to the rise of antisemitism we are witnessing.
This is a non-partisan effort, and the questionnaire was sent to all candidates (Democrats and Republicans) running in the primaries for the 10th Congressional District, the seat currently held by Jennifer Wexton who is not running for re-election. Please click here to read full information and to see the responses.
