Summary |
The streets and sidewalks of historic downtown Leesburg were clogged Sunday May 31, with more than 1,500 people exercising their right to peacefully protest in honor of George Floyd, a black man who died at the hands of a Minneapolis police officer earlier this week. Click here to read more.
Rabbi Amy and Sonja Benson (taking the photo) joined in the protest and are here pictured with Commonwealth's Attorney Buta Biberaj and a member of the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.
Most attendees wore masks to prevent spread of COVID-19. Note: Rabbi Amy's mask was made by BCRC member Tracy Cirone.

UAA Questionnaire to Candidates
United Against Antisemitism (UAA), a grass roots organization based in the Washington D.C. area, created a questionnaire on how candidates seeking to run in our Congressional District, and for the US Senate seat for Virginia would respond to the rise of antisemitism we are witnessing.
This is a non-partisan effort, and the questionnaire was sent to all candidates (Democrats and Republicans) running in the primaries for the 10th Congressional District, the seat currently held by Jennifer Wexton who is not running for re-election. Please click here to read full information and to see the responses.
