Join us for our weekly meetings and special events.
NO EXPERIENCE NEEDED- Beginners are welcome, encouraged and supported to give us a try!
What is a weekly session like?
We gather, greet and get comfy on a couch or chair. Some wrap up in a light blanket.
Lights are turned off, candles are lit, and we are lead through some seated stretching and guided relaxation.
The chant leader then begins to melodically chant song phrases from our liturgy accompanied by light drumming rhythms. It is a combination of call and response and unison. Participants sing along, hum, breathe... remain quiet....
There is no “correct way” to participate- once the tunes feel familiar, many participants find themselves swept up into the melody and rhythms and find themselves singing and drumming along. Chanting feels freeing and wonderful!
The chanting then winds down and launches us into a 21 minute silent meditation.
The alarm chimes and we come back to ourselves refreshed and relaxed. It’s good stuff!
